The Chairperson of Board of HACC New York, Mrs Nancy Papaioannou met with Chamber’s Ambassador Mr. Kostas Skagias to discuss the promotion plan for 2019 – 2020.
Mykonos – Santorini Aegean Islands Promo Around the Globe project, which is under the auspices of the Hellenic – American Chamber of Commerce New York (HACC New York) is expanding its promotional activities to new source markets for 2020 whilst strengthening bonds with the existing ones.
Hellenic – American, with Mykonos origins, Chairperson of the Board of HACC New York, Mrs Nancy Papaioannou, discussed the new plan with Mr. Kostas Skagias, Strategy Manager of Mykonos – Santorini Aegean Islands Promo Around the Globe project and Chamber’s Ambassador for the Aegean islands – Mykonos based.
After the successful promotional plan of previous year, the team of the project is planning to travel in 12 countries around the globe, targeting high profile visitors from:

4. Berlin (Germany)
5. Paris (France)
6. Moscow (Russia)
7. Qatar (Qatar)
8. Kuwait (Kuwait)

11. Limasol (Cyprus)
12. Beirut (Lebanon)
by participating in international travel fairs and yacht boat shows.
During their meeting, Mrs Papaioannou repeated her wish the promotion plan should highlight Mykonos’ history and tradition in order for the island to maintain its authenticity and attract high educational and economic level visitors from USA and especially from New York.
Within this context, Mr Kostas Skagias, presented the new mobile applications and interactive social networking tools, designed by a team of experts in the fields of new technology and tourism from London, New York and MTC Group team in Mykonos.
These apps, part of the project Mykonos Promo and Santorini Promo in collaboration with the team of MykonosBest (www.MykonosBest.eu) and SantoriniBest (www.SantoriniBest.eu), under the auspices of HACC New York, combine the traditional forms of promotion with the digital innovative technology.
Aim of the project is to attract upscale millenial visitors to Mykonos, Santorini and the Aegean islands and to enhance their knowledge for the destinations and Platinum Members of the project, providing them with accurate information.
The apps are available to download in google play and apple store and are being presented in major tourism and travel shows in New York and internationally.
